Like Sherie, I found Chapter 11 provides its readers with a plethora of information about learning theories. While I find value in all of the theories discussed, I most connected with the concept of constructivist learning theories, which states in broad terms that learners construct their own knowledge from experiences. As students with an interest in community colleges, constructivist theories should grab our attention. Our institutions are rich with diversity. They are places that embrace the experiences of everyone that enters their doors, and they seek to help all with an interest in personal and professional development.
